Since I had gone daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays with out baking and after baking some super Deep Dark Mocha Cupcakes, I felt the need to bake something less chocolate based and dark in color. In running terms, I'm overcompensating.
So, I went to my Pinterest page, looked through my Dessert board and viola, found the perfect recipe. Pecan Pie Bars. I love, love, love Pecan Pie and so does Hub, so I kept my fingers crossed that they would be a hit.
Since I'm using sports terms, I will again....Home Run, not just a hit...out of the park, Home Run. It's funny, not only was it very very tasty, but everyone had their own opinion of it. The crust was delectable and the topping was gooey and nutty and so lovely.
A must have for all parties and events. A must have for all non parties and non events.
Jill, your dark choco cupcakes and these pecan bars are in a dead heat as to which will be the front runner.
